Offshore Wind Mission Taiwan (23-27 October 2017)
Wednesday, July 26, 2017

Introduction
Are you working in the offshore wind sector and looking for new business opportunities? Join the offshore wind mission to Taiwan. The mission will be organized by HHWE in collaboration with Netherlands Trade and Investment Office in Taipei, Taiwan Wind Turbine Industry Association (TWTIA) and CIECA. We invite in particular offshore wind installation and offshore wind O&M related companies to join us.

Tailor-made program for each participant
As a participant of this mission you will have a tailor-made program consisting of individual business meetings, workshops and networking receptions. Procedure for this mission is as follows. HHWE has a longlist of most important offshore wind stakeholders in Taiwan. Based on this longlist you can choose which Taiwanese companies you would like to meet. For approaching the local companies you can either contact them yourself or seek the assistance of HHWE and NTIO. The choice of topics for the workshops will be based on the demands of our Taiwanese partners. You will be informed about this in due time. During the mission you will also have the opportunity to seek or share information with other participants. To this purpose two evaluation sessions will be organized.

Why Taiwan?
The Bureau of Energy (BoE) announced in 2016 that the installed capacity in offshore wind will be 4.000MW in 2030. Given Taiwan’s favorable location, Taiwan has many natural resources that are favorable for strong development in the offshore wind. Taiwan’s western waters have been considered as one of the world’s most suitable for the development of offshore wind parks, by the international engineering company 4C Offshore. HHWE has been active in Taiwan since 2014 and has applied in July for support in the framework of the Partners for International Business Program (PIB). Purpose of the PIB is to capitalize with a group of companies on the business opportunities in Taiwan. Please note that this application is currently under evaluation of Netherlands Enterprise Agency RVO.

Costs mission
PIB-members can participate free of charge under condition that PIB application has been granted. HHWE members can participate at a fee of EUR 1.500. For non-HHWE members the fee is EUR 2.000. Flight tickets and hotel costs are excluded in the participation fee.
