SUMMARY:Netherlands Lounge @ Wind Energy Asian (SOLD OUT)
DESCRIPTION:Taiwan is the third-largest offshore wind market in the Asia-Pacific region. With ambitious targets and a significant and clear pipeline laid out\, the market has attracted eager interest from leading offshore wind developers and technology providers. \nAs of today\, two offshore wind projects under the Demonstration Incentive Program (DIP) have come online: Formosa I\, totaling 128MW\, and Changhua Demonstration project\, totaling 109MW. This will be followed by a series of projects including Great Changhua 1 & 2a (900MW0\, Formosa II (376MW)\, Yunlin (640MW) and Changfang Phase I (100MW). \nOffshore wind is a key component of Taiwan’s green economy vision\, which includes a scenario to generate 20% of electricity through renewable energy by 2025. In May 2021 the government announced that it would increase its offshore wind ambitions to 15GW over the 2026-2035 period. By 2050 there will be 40-55GW generated by offshore wind which will bring operation and maintenance work well over the middle of the century. Once the shallower water (<50m) is covered\, deeper sites will be necessary\, for which floating wind is ideal. Floating wind also brings with it the opportunity of developing new technologies and opening new possibilities. \nForeign knowledge and technology is required\, but contracts stipulate increasing local content requirements. SUMMARY:Trade mission energy transition South Korea and Japan with Minister Schreinemacher
DESCRIPTION:Are you active in the energy transition\, e.g. offshore wind\, hydrogen\, battery technology\, electric mobility or greenhouse horticulture? Do you want to do business in South Korea and Japan? Consider joining the trade mission from March 13 to 17\, 2023\, with Liesje Schreinemacher\, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Ingrid Thijssen\, chairman of VNO-NCW\, acts as business mission leader. The mission is during the Interbattery and EV Trend exhibitions in Seoul\, and the World Smart Energy Week in Tokyo. \nFor whom?\nThis mission is especially interesting for companies and knowledge institutions that are active in the field of energy transition and that are doing business with South Korea and Japan. The focus is on the following sectors: \nSouth Korea \n\nHydrogen\nBattery technology\nGreenhouse horticulture\n\nJapan \n\nHydrogen\nOffshore Wind\n\nIn addition\, RVO particularly invites female entrepreneurs and start-ups to participate. \nOpportunities for the Netherlands\nSouth Korea is the 4th largest economy in Asia and the 10th largest int he world. The Japanese economy is the third largest in the world. Both countries offer many opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs\, particularly in the field of innovation and technology. South Korea and Japan are important trade partners of the Netherlands in Asia\, respectively the third and fourth export markets in the region. \nEnergy transition\nThere are plenty of opportunities for Dutch companies and knowledge institutes in the field of energy transition. In South Korea\, this includes hydrogen\, battery technology including electric vehicles and greenhouse horticulture. There are identical opportunies in Japan\, but the mission will mainly focus on the opportunities in the field of hydrogen and offshore wind. In short\, 2 dynamic markets with serious plans for the energy transition and interested in international cooperation. \nDuring the mission you will discover where the business opportunities are in South Korea and Japan.
