SUMMARY:Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT) - NL Delegation
DESCRIPTION:Registration is still possible\, but it’s no longer possible to have your company logo in the pop-up booth. The rest of the package remains the same. \nFrance aims to be completely carbon neutral by 2050 and to achieve this\, France is betting heavily on renewable energy which will have to represent 40% of the energy mix. Offshore wind energy plays a very important role in this. Moreover with more than 3\,500 km of coastline\, France has the second largest offshore wind potential in Europe\, besides having confirmed to boost its capacity base\, it also plans to become a world leader in floating offshore wind. \nFrance is the only European country that has allocated a revenue support (of 1 M€) for commercial-scale projects. Currently\, commercial tenders have already been published for floating offshore wind farms in the Region of Brittany\, Western France: 1 park with a capacity of 250 MW and in the Region of Occitanie\, Southern France: two projects of 250 MW each in the Mediterranean Sea. The winners of these tenders will be selected in 2023 and the two wind farms are expected to be commissioned by 2030. It is also planned that the two wind farms will later be joined by two nearby extensions of 500 MW each. \nFloating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT)\nThe FOWT is the world’s largest event dedicated to floating offshore wind and will be held from May 10-12\, 2023\, in Nantes\, France. The objective of the FOWT is to further the advancement of floating wind and accelerate its implementation into the global renewable energy mix. This event is meant to promote constructive discussions between all actors and stakeholders of this emerging industry. \nNetherlands participation\nThe Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Nantes\, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, will organize a Netherlands pop-up booth for all Dutch participants to showcase their logo and corporate movie/presentation. \nParticipation via the Netherlands pop-up booth will include the following: \n\nExposure in the pop-up booth with company logo and space for company brochures;\nShared TV screen at the pop-up booth for corporate movie (max. 1\,5 min)/presentation (max. 6 slides);\nParticipation in the side event: Country Supply Chain Seminar (TBC);\nEntrance to the complete FOWT program: conferences and technical visits;\nParticipation in the B2B matchmaking;\nCatering: drinks network lunches and gala dinner;\nOn-site support from organizers of the Netherlands participation; and\nJoint promotion.\n\nA minimum of 10 companies is required in order to proceed with the Netherlands participation. \nParticipation costs\n€450\,00 per person\, excluding VAT and travel related expenses.
