SUMMARY:WindDay 2023

SUMMARY:Netherlands Lounge @ Seanergy
DESCRIPTION:France aims to be completely carbon neutral by 2050 and to achieve this\, France is betting heavily on renewable energy which will have to represent 40% of the energy mix. Offshore wind energy – including floating wind – plays a very important role in this.\nMoreover with more than 3\,500km of coastline\, France has the second largest offshore wind and marine renewable energy potential in Europe. The goal of the French government is to install 40GW in 50 offshore wind projects by 2050\, every year new offshore wind projects extensions will be awarded\, fixed-bottom or floating\, to leverage existing project’s grid connection. \nSeanergy\nSeanergy is the annual international forum dedicated to offshore renewable energy\, by covering all technologies: fixed and floating wind\, tidal energy\, wave energy\, marine thermal energy\, osmotic energy and floating solar.\nThe forum brings together more than 3\,500 international players around an exhibition area gathering +230 exhibitors from around the world\, industrial and technical conferences\, business meetings\, pitches and workshops on specific topics related to blue growth economy. \nNetherlands Lounge\nHolland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, together with the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Nantes\, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)\, intends to set up a Netherlands Lounge with a total area between the 36 – 48 sqm\, where every participant will get individual exposure. \nParticipation includes the following: \n\nFully furnished booth in style of Netherlands branding;\nOwn desk for each participating company;\nExposure of logo and corporate photos within the Netherlands Lounge;\nShared TV screen to display PowerPoint presentation (max. 6 slides) OR corporate movie (max. 1\,5 min);\nHost(ess)/support on site;\nParticipation in the side program of the Seanergy: B2B meetings\, networking and job dating;\nParticipation in the NL – FR side event (TBC);\nCompany profile in the (online) exhibitor directoy;\nSupport with arranging meetings on the exhibition floor;\nHotel recommendation; and\nJoint promotion.\n\nA minimum of 10 participants is required in order to proceed with this event. \nParticipation costs\nHHWE members               €2.000\,00\nNon members                   €2.500\,00 \nAll prices are without VAT. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses. \nMore information and registration\nRegister via the ticket system above. Please make sure to select the correct ticket.\nFor more information please contact events@hhwe.eu.

SUMMARY:PWEA 2023 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Polish Wind Energy Association (PWEA) Conference is the largest wind energy event in Poland as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Poland is currently facing a very serious challenge as a result of climate change\, the war in Ukraine\, the economic crisis and the inevitable energy transition. \nThe development of renewable energy sources is now Poland’s raison d’etre – especially wind energy is a solution to the problem of energy poverty\, dramatically high energy prices and Poland’s dependence on imported raw materials. According to the Polish Energy Networks\, the potential of RES indicated the possibility of producing more than 100TWh per year of renewable energy by 2030\, which will significantly exceed 50% of Poland’s electricity demand. The PWEA 2023 conference is a reflection of the key challenges – during the event\, we will try to answer the question of how the country’s energy sector will evolve in the coming years to ensure energy security\, achieve ambitious climate targets and free ourselves from fossil sources. \nThis three-day event brings together key-decision makers\, opinion leaders\, representatives of local authorities\, business and environmental associations\, the media and the entire wind industry in one place. \nNetherlands participation\nThis activity is part of the PIB Poland\, but open to all Dutch companies active in (offshore) wind. For preliminery equiries\, please contact Elro van den Burg (e.vandenburg@pibowepolen.pl | +48 608 490 395). \n

SUMMARY:Information session Offshore Wind Japan\, Taiwan and South Korea
DESCRIPTION:Over the next 10 years\, offshore wind capacity will increase by nearly 40GW in Japan\, Taiwan and South Korea. What opportunities do these developments bring to the Dutch offshore wind sector and to your company? You will find out during the Offshore Wind Japan\, Taiwan and South Korea Session on Wednesday June 28\, 09:00 – 13:00 CET.   \nWith the current energy transition\, everyday more wind energy projects are being planned and installed. Same goes for East Asia with their growing attention for this energy transition. The Japanese government has an ambitious offshore wind target of 30-45GW of installed capacity by 2040. Taiwan has announced a target of 10GW of wind energy capacity by 2035\, and South Korea is also transitioning to a full roll-out of offshore wind energy. The Korean government plans to generate 19.3GW via wind turbines around 2030. \nThese markets are in full development but do not have the required knowledge and skills to realize these ambitions. The Netherlands has built up a great international reputation and track record and can benefit from the opportunities in this East Asian markets. \nDuring the Offshore Wind Session\, experts from the sector and fellow entrepreneurs talk about local developments and experiences in the region. You will also hear about upcoming events and activities in these countries\, and the session will be concluded with a networking lunch. \nDo you want to know more about opportunities for offshore wind in Japan?
