SUMMARY:Intake Mission Offshore Wind Sweden
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in the Swedish offshore wind market? Then join the Intake Mission Offshore Wind to Sweden from May 27 to 29\, 2024.  \nThe Swedish offshore wind market\, known for its open-door policy\, has attracted a lot of interest from developers\, with more than 20 projects announced so far. With an announced capacity exceeding 120 GW\, Sweden’s market is primarily driven by developers. However\, approximately 30% of these projects overlap\, leading to competition for permits\, site exclusivity\, and grid connection. \nThe Swedish government is exploring the possibility of implementing a centralized system to replace the current open-door policy. In response to this\, the Netherlands Embassy in Stockholm\, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)\, and Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) have joined forces to organize an intake mission. \nMission goal\nThe purpose of the intake mission is threefold: \n\nFactfinding on the current Swedish offshore wind market (policy\, market outlook & supply chain).\nExchange of know-how/expertise on policy and other relevant topics like ecology enhancement\, spatial planning\, multi-use of offshore wind farms\, grid\, power to X etc.\nTo demonstrate the reliability of the Dutch offshore wind supply chain as a valuable partner for Sweden.\n\nFor whom\nThis will be a small-scaled mission (5-7 companies). Therefore\, we would only like to invite companies with a clear interest in the Swedish offshore wind market to register. Final participation depends on the number of places available. We also consider how well your expertise fits within the scope and purpose of the mission. Registration therefore does not mean that you will be admitted to the mission. You will receive a final confirmation of participation after registration has closed. \nDraft program\nThe mission program is still under development. We try to take participants’ specific wishes into account as much as possible when determining the program. \nMonday May 27th – evening \n\nArrival at Stockholm Airport\nInformal dinner with the delegation\n\nTuesday May 28th \n\nStart of formal program with various visits in Stockholm focused on government stakeholders\n\nWednesday May 29th \n\nVarious visits focused on private stakeholders. Evening return to the Netherlands\n\nCosts\nParticipation in the intake mission is free of charge. Participants are responsible for covering the following expenses: \n\ntravel and accommodation costs (intercontinental and domestic flights and hotels)\nall individual costs\, such as lunches and dinners outside the programme\n\nRegistration\nAre you interested in participating in this Intake Mission Offshore Wind Sweden? Please register by May 9th 2024 via the online ticket.\nPlease note that if you cancel your participation after registration\, any costs made for your participation on your behalf\, will be invoiced to you. \nInteresting reads\n\nSwedish offshore wind ‘goldrush’ shows no signs of slowing down\nSweden’s offshore wind market is on the rise with fierce competition\n\nQuestions?\nIf you have any questions about the Intake Mission Offshore Wind Sweden\, you can contact us via events@hhwe.eu.

SUMMARY:Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT) - NL Delegation
DESCRIPTION:Registration is still possible\, but it’s no longer possible to have your company logo in the pop-up booth. The rest of the package remains the same. \nFrance aims to be completely carbon neutral by 2050 and to achieve this\, France is betting heavily on renewable energy which will have to represent 40% of the energy mix. Offshore wind energy plays a very important role in this. Moreover with more than 3\,500 km of coastline\, France has the second largest offshore wind potential in Europe\, besides having confirmed to boost its capacity base\, it also plans to become a world leader in floating offshore wind. \nFrance is the only European country that has allocated a revenue support (of 1 M€) for commercial-scale projects. Currently\, commercial tenders have already been published for floating offshore wind farms in the Region of Brittany\, Western France: 1 park with a capacity of 250 MW and in the Region of Occitanie\, Southern France: two projects of 250 MW each in the Mediterranean Sea. The winners of these tenders will be selected in 2023 and the two wind farms are expected to be commissioned by 2030. It is also planned that the two wind farms will later be joined by two nearby extensions of 500 MW each. \nFloating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT)\nThe FOWT is the world’s largest event dedicated to floating offshore wind and will be held from May 10-12\, 2023\, in Nantes\, France.
