If you are interested\, let us know! \nThank you for your understanding\, and we appreciate your continued support. If you have any questions or need further information\, don’t hesitate to reach out. \n————————————————————————————————————————————– \nAccording to the latest statistics from the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute (CREEI)\, six provinces have completed their offshore wind development plans for the 14th five-year plan period (2021-2025). By the end of June 2023\, China’s National Energy Administration had reviewed en approved 30GW of nearshore wind and 35GW of offshore wind capacity in deep waters. More capacity is expected to be approved after another four provinces complete the same process. \nConsidering that China has the world’s largest and most competitive wind supply chain and the market is ready to complete the transition from nearshore to deep water installations by the end of 2025\, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) predicts that 139GW of new offshore wind capacity will be built in the coming decade. This progress will further reinforce China’s position as a global leader in the offshore wind sector. \nWith regards to onshore wind\, China’s onshore wind capacity amounted to some 335GW in 2022\, which offers enormous opportunities for the Dutch wind energy supply chain. \nChina Wind Power\nThe China Wind Power (CWP) has grown into one of the world’s largest and most influential wind energy exbibitions. CWP provides an exchange platform for global wind sector to seek industrial development\, tackle climate change\, and explore solutions for energy transition. \nWith 80\,000sqm of space during the CWP 2023\, the conference saw 1000 exhibitors and over 100\,000 visitors! \nNetherlands Lounge\nHolland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) intends to participate with a Netherlands Lounge at the upcoming China Wind Power. SUMMARY:Inbound visit Occitanie (FR) to the Netherlands
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the upcoming visit of the French delegation “Le Parlement de la Mer” from Occitanie to the Netherlands on October 1\, 2024. This event follows our successful trade mission to Occitanie in 2022 and the innovation mission in 2023. Le Parlement de la Mer represents different stakeholders that are involved in the future of the Mediterranean\, like fishery\, tourism\, municipalities\, wind power organisations\, ports etc.   \nOffshore wind Occitanie \nFrance considers the offshore energy sector as an important sector for European strategic autonomy\, cooperation should aim at maintaining the value chain in Europe (also for new innovative “floating” technologies). France has the ambition to become a world leader in floating wind farms and the Occitanie region is the area where most of the developments in this field are taking place. Two pre-commercial floating wind farms will be built in the next few years and the realisation of the first commercial project with a capacity of 250 megawatts should start in 2030. Port-la-Nouvelle\, located southwest of Montpellier\, is currently being developed as a dedicated port for the floating wind farms.  \nWind’OCC\, the cluster organisation for wind energy in the Occitan region\, is the catalyst for local offshore wind developments. This organisation is very open to European cooperation\, witness the MoU signed between Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) and Wind’OCC\, in April 2022. \nFocus\nThe main themes of the mission are:  \n\nStakeholder management wind farms (e.g. fisheries\, tourism); \nSpatial planning; \nPublic acceptance; \nShared use of offshore wind farms (e.g. floating solar\, ecology enhancement); and\nStrengthening private & public collaboration between France and the Netherlands.\n\nProgram \nThe itinerary includes visits to Futureland\, Haliade X\, the pilot project of Touchwind at the Fieldlab Westvoorne and a visit to the TU Delft. There will be ample opportunities for networking\, and discussing potential partnerships. \nAgenda October 1\, 2024\n09:00 – 11:00 Visit to FutureLand: presentations from AD’OCC\, RVO\, Pondera and DeRijkeNoordzee\n11:00 – 12:15 Visit to TouchWind test site\n12:15 – 13:15 Networking lunch at FutureLand\n14:00 – 17:00 Visit TU Delft: presentations and visit to ESP and Wind AI lab\n17:00 – 18:00 Joint networking reception at the Echo Building \nIt’s possible to join either in the morning (09:00 – 13:15)\, including the networking lunch\, the afternoon (14:00 – 18:00)\, including the networking reception\, or the whole day.  \nFor whom? \nAnyone interested in the (floating) wind developments in Occitanie are encouraged to participate. The mission is small-scale with a maximum of 30 Dutch participating companies. We will take in consideration how your expertise matches the focus and purpose of this mission. You will receive final confirmation of your participation after the closing of the application period.  \nParticipation costs \nParticipation in the visit is free of charge\, but RSVP is required. \nMore information & registration\nIf you are interested to attend the visiting program\, please RSVP by selecting the correct ticket (morning\, afternoon or whole day ticket).\nIn case of any questions\, get in touch with us via events@hhwe.eu. \nOrganisation \nThe Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is organising this mission\, in cooperation with Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) and Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Nantes.

SUMMARY:Netherlands Lounge @ Wind Energy Trade Show Ireland SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:The Netherlands Lounge at the Wind Energy Trade Show Ireland is sold out.  \nAlready a leader in onshore wind energy\, Ireland has the project pipeline and the determination to become a force in offshore renewables as well. In May 2023\, Ireland successfully held its first-ever offshore wind auction. Four projects with a combined capacity of 3GW were awarded. The successful completion of the auction is a breakthrough for renewables in Ireland and critical to achieving the targets set in Ireland’s 2030 Climate Action Plan. \nThe auction is a crucial landmark for the expansion of offshore wind in Ireland. As of now Ireland only has one small offshore wind farm of 25MW. The acution is also key to delivering Ireland’s 2030 Climate Action Plan. Ireland wants to have 5GW of installed offshore wind capacity and further 2GW of floating wind capacity under development by 2030. It’s central to the government’s target to provide 80% of electricity from renewables by 2030. But that will only be the beginning\, because by 2050\, Ireland aspires to have at least 37GW of offshore wind. \nIreland is now also working on a National Industrial Strategy for Offshore Wind – to be published in the first quarter of 2024. The Strategy aims to ensure that Ireland can build up the supply chain needed to deliver its offshore wind ambitions. And that it captures the long-term benefits of offshore wind for both the economy and society. And there’s a lot of work to do on the Irish supply chain. Crucially Ireland needs to invest in its port infrastructure. This is a top priority for the government. And Ireland must ensure it has a robust planning system that can quickly assess applications. The lack of resources and capacity in the National Parks & Wildlife Service and the delays in setting up the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority are critical concerns. \nAll of these developments and challenges create opportunities for Dutch wind power companies to enter the Irish market and contribute to the local supply chain. Now is the time to capitalize on your business opportunities\, and be part of the FIRST EVER Wind Energy Exhibition in Ireland! \nThe Wind Energy Trade Show 2023 is an exciting new event which will bring together Ireland’s growing domestic supply chain\, the key players in the global wind energy industry and cutting edge research from Ireland and internationally for the country’s first Wind Energy Trade Show. The 2023 Trade Show will showcase the exciting potential for new entrants into the Irish market and introduce the world Irish stakeholders. This event will be a meeting place where the world’s major players and key industry leaders will chart a vision for Ireland’s energy future alongisde a rapidly growing network of local and European suppliers all looking to invest in our energy revolution. \nNetherlands Lounge\nHolland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Dublin\, will set up a Netherlands Lounge with a total floorspace between of 54sqm\, in which every participant will get individual exposure. SUMMARY:Webinar Japan & the Netherlands - Gentle Piling & Floating Wind
DESCRIPTION:The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan and Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) are organizing in close collaboration with the Japan Wind Power Association a Webinar on Floating Wind and Gentle Piling on September 28\, from 09:00 – 11:30 CEST | 16:00 – 18:30 JST. \nThis Webinar takes place as part of the Smart Energy Week September 2021 edition\, in which HHWE organizes a Netherlands Lounge at the Wind Expo Tokyo. \nProgram | プログラム\n \nBackground Webinar\nJapan announced this summer its sixth Strategic Energy Plan in which a significant increase in renewables will be part of the energy mix\, including offshore wind energy. Japan has commissioned its first tenders for bottom-fixed windfarms and in the next decade more than 10 GW is going to be realized.  For the construction are less invasive technologies developed\, such as gentle piling. In this webinar\, silent foundation technologies for offshore wind farms are introduced. \nJapan is also targeting floating constructions for offshore wind farms. Since the country is surrounded by deep sea\, floating turbines can be installed in deeper waters compared to bottom-fixed turbines. The infrastructure for floating wind is in a starting stage\, but the Japanese government supports more technological research for this via the Green Investment Fund.  The Dutch floating wind supply chain could be a great partner in Japanese market. \nMore information & Registration\nIf you want to attend this Webinar\, please RSVP via the ticket system above. After registration\, you will receive a confirmation on your email. Make sure to download the calender invite below to put the Webinar into your agenda. \nA few days before the start of the Webinar you will receive the link to the Webinar session.\nIn case of any questions\, don’t hesitate to contact Holland Home of Wind Energy (contact details below).
