SUMMARY:12½ Year Celebration Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)
DESCRIPTION:12½ years ago\, Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) was founded by the wind power industry in the Netherlands: time for a celebration! \nDuring the anniversary meeting on February 8\, 2024\, we will celebrate this together with our HHWE members and the partners we have been working with during these period. We will look back on 12½ years of HHWE and have Søren Lassen\, Global Head of Offshore Wind Research at Wood MacKenzie\, with us to talk about global wind power developments\, followed by a walking networking dinner. \nJoining this anniversary is only possible with a personal invitation. \nWe are delighted to have reached this milestone\, and look back on what we have achieved as HHWE. With our main focus on only China in the first years\, we expanded quickly to other Asian countries like Korea\, Japan and Taiwan. Nowadays we are also active in among others the United States\, Ireland\, France\, Germany\, Sweden\, Turkey\, United Kingdom and Greece\, and still growing! With two new colleagues added to the HHWE team\, we hope to support our members and the Dutch sector even more\, and expand our activities in existing and upcoming wind energy markets. \nIf you are interested to become a member of HHWE\, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via info@hhwe.eu and we can schedule an appointment to discuss things further. New members will still receive an invitation to the celebration on February 8!

SUMMARY:Netherlands Lounge @ Wind Energy Trade Show Ireland SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:The Netherlands Lounge at the Wind Energy Trade Show Ireland is sold out.  \nAlready a leader in onshore wind energy\, Ireland has the project pipeline and the determination to become a force in offshore renewables as well. In May 2023\, Ireland successfully held its first-ever offshore wind auction. Four projects with a combined capacity of 3GW were awarded. The successful completion of the auction is a breakthrough for renewables in Ireland and critical to achieving the targets set in Ireland’s 2030 Climate Action Plan. \nThe auction is a crucial landmark for the expansion of offshore wind in Ireland. As of now Ireland only has one small offshore wind farm of 25MW. The acution is also key to delivering Ireland’s 2030 Climate Action Plan. Ireland wants to have 5GW of installed offshore wind capacity and further 2GW of floating wind capacity under development by 2030. It’s central to the government’s target to provide 80% of electricity from renewables by 2030. But that will only be the beginning\, because by 2050\, Ireland aspires to have at least 37GW of offshore wind. \nIreland is now also working on a National Industrial Strategy for Offshore Wind – to be published in the first quarter of 2024. The Strategy aims to ensure that Ireland can build up the supply chain needed to deliver its offshore wind ambitions. And that it captures the long-term benefits of offshore wind for both the economy and society. And there’s a lot of work to do on the Irish supply chain. Crucially Ireland needs to invest in its port infrastructure. This is a top priority for the government. And Ireland must ensure it has a robust planning system that can quickly assess applications. The lack of resources and capacity in the National Parks & Wildlife Service and the delays in setting up the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority are critical concerns. \nAll of these developments and challenges create opportunities for Dutch wind power companies to enter the Irish market and contribute to the local supply chain. Now is the time to capitalize on your business opportunities\, and be part of the FIRST EVER Wind Energy Exhibition in Ireland! \nThe Wind Energy Trade Show 2023 is an exciting new event which will bring together Ireland’s growing domestic supply chain\, the key players in the global wind energy industry and cutting edge research from Ireland and internationally for the country’s first Wind Energy Trade Show. The 2023 Trade Show will showcase the exciting potential for new entrants into the Irish market and introduce the world Irish stakeholders. This event will be a meeting place where the world’s major players and key industry leaders will chart a vision for Ireland’s energy future alongisde a rapidly growing network of local and European suppliers all looking to invest in our energy revolution. \nNetherlands Lounge\nHolland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Dublin\, will set up a Netherlands Lounge with a total floorspace between of 54sqm\, in which every participant will get individual exposure. The Lounge is conveniently located at the expo hall\, and can accommodate up to 14 companies. \nParticipation includes the following: \n\nFully furnished booth with customized Netherlands / wind and water works branding;\nOwn poster desk for each participating company;\nCorporate photos and logo integrated in the Lounge graphics;\nCompany profile in (online) directory Wind Energy Trade Show;\nShared TV screen to display corporate video (max. 1\,5 min) or PowerPoint Presentation (max. 6 slides);\nHost(ess)/support on site by HHWE\, Dutch Embassy Dublin and Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO);\nParticipation in the complete program during the week\, including a Dutch-Irish networking program (TBC);\n1 exhibitor pass per company (additional passes against reduced rate);\nSupport with arranging meetings on the exhibition floor;\nDrinks & snacks in the Lounge;\nHotel and travel recommendation; and\nJoint promotion.\n\nParticipation costs\nPIB Ireland members:              free of charge (additional passes against reduced rate)\nNon PIB members:                  €2.200\,00 \nParticipants are responsible for their own travel expenses. All prices are without VAT. \nMore information and registration\nTo register\, please use the ticket system above. Please note that PIB members have priority over non members until June 23\, after which we proceed to the first come first serve principle.\nFor more information\, please contact us via events@hhwe.eu. \nDeadline for registration; August 11\, 2023.

SUMMARY:Webinar Japan & the Netherlands - Gentle Piling & Floating Wind
DESCRIPTION:The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan and Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE)\, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) are organizing in close collaboration with the Japan Wind Power Association a Webinar on Floating Wind and Gentle Piling on September 28\, from 09:00 – 11:30 CEST | 16:00 – 18:30 JST. \nThis Webinar takes place as part of the Smart Energy Week September 2021 edition\, in which HHWE organizes a Netherlands Lounge at the Wind Expo Tokyo. \nProgram | プログラム\n \nBackground Webinar\nJapan announced this summer its sixth Strategic Energy Plan in which a significant increase in renewables will be part of the energy mix\, including offshore wind energy. Japan has commissioned its first tenders for bottom-fixed windfarms and in the next decade more than 10 GW is going to be realized.  For the construction are less invasive technologies developed\, such as gentle piling. In this webinar\, silent foundation technologies for offshore wind farms are introduced. \nJapan is also targeting floating constructions for offshore wind farms. Since the country is surrounded by deep sea\, floating turbines can be installed in deeper waters compared to bottom-fixed turbines. The infrastructure for floating wind is in a starting stage\, but the Japanese government supports more technological research for this via the Green Investment Fund.  The Dutch floating wind supply chain could be a great partner in Japanese market. \nMore information & Registration\nIf you want to attend this Webinar\, please RSVP via the ticket system above. After registration\, you will receive a confirmation on your email. Make sure to download the calender invite below to put the Webinar into your agenda. \nA few days before the start of the Webinar you will receive the link to the Webinar session.\nIn case of any questions\, don’t hesitate to contact Holland Home of Wind Energy (contact details below).
