SUMMARY:Mission to Estonian Wind Energy Conference
DESCRIPTION:The recent news in December regarding the Estonian offshore wind tender\, won by Ignitits Renewables and CIP\, stands as a tangible example of the offshore wind ambitions of Estonia. This planned 1\,4 GW windpark marks an addition to the three decided wind farms sites\, collectively possessing a total capacity of 4GW\, expected to be operational by the early 2030s. Estonia has set an ambitious target to cover its entire electricity consumption from renewable sources by 2030. \nJoin the mission to Estonia from February 12-14\, 2024!\nDuring the mission to Estonia in February we will further explore the future role of the wind energy in the Estonian energy mix and the potential the market could offer for the Dutch representatives. Additionally\, you will receive insight into what is happening in the neighbouring countries Latvia and Lithuania. We invite you to participate in a tailored program for Dutch companies which includes the conference and is also the kick-off event of the PIB Baltic States – Linkedbyoffshorewind. \nAs a part of the mission\, the Dutch delegation will be offered an opportunity to visit the wind conference that brings together the Estonian wind sector stakeholders (in 2023 over 150 physical participants). \nFor the mission participants a matchmaking session will be arranged to meet the developers and other stakeholders of the Estonian offshore wind farms. Apart from the conference\, our delegation will participate in additional events on 12 February to receive an overview of the latest updates on the Latvian and Lithuanian offshore sectors. \nThe PIB cluster Linkedbyoffshorewind is the main international partner of the conference. The package\, exclusively for Dutch companies\, includes:\n\nMeeting Estonian offshore wind stakeholders and receive the latest updates on the Latvian and Lithuanian offshore wind plans;\nTake part in the B2B and B2G matchmaking sessions\nOne company page in the mission booklet and your logo visible on the rollup in the conference\nIntroduce your experience to the conference audience during the planned 1.5 hrs session on the Dutch offshore experience (the speakers and topics/focus of every presentation will be agreed individually with potential speakers)\nIn case of demand\, the embassy in Tallinn can compose a program for the Dutch delegation in order to meet the selected organisations and key people (public/private)\n\nParticipation fee\n€225 net for companies for 3 days (including conference participation/additional dinners/side events\, and excluding flight and overnight stays) \nFree for PIB members (one ticket per PIB company). \nMore information and registration\nRegister via the online form here. \nFor more information (no applications)\, please reach out to Elro van den Burg (e.vandenburg@linkedbyoffshorewind.eu\, Kadri Pedas (kadri.pedas@minbuza.nl) from the NL Embassy in Tallinn\, or Margot Roose (margot.roose@minbuza.nl) Regional Business Developer.

SUMMARY:PIB trade mission to Lithuania and Poland: opportunities in the offshore wind energy
DESCRIPTION:Are you internationally active in the offshore wind energy? And are you curious about your business opportunities in the Baltic Sea? Consider joining the trade mission to Lithuania and Poland from September 18 – 2!\, 2023! \nPoland aims to have an installed capacity of 6GW of offshore wind energy by 2030. The country is aiming for 11GW in 2040 but there are plans to even expand to 18GW. To realize these ambitions\, an auction of 2GW will be held every 2 years from 2025 on. Lithuania is also increasing capacity and is currently hosting its first 1.4GW auction. The announcement of a further 2GW is expected shortly. \nOpportunities for Dutch companies\nThese developments in the Baltic states provide opportunities for Dutch companies in the offshore wind energy. In Poland there is a need for expertise in the supply chain and port logistics\, in Lithuania for specialists in the engineering and development phase. \nTo further explore the opportunities for the Dutch wind sector and to develop business relationships\, the Embassy in Lithuania\, the PIB cluster LinkedbyOffshoreWind and the Netherlands Wind Energy Association (NWEA) are organizing a 2-in-1 trade mission to Lithuania and Poland. \nPreliminary program\nMonday September 18: Participation in the Dutch Offshore Wind Energy Conference in Klaipeda\nTuesday September 19: Participation in the Dutch Offshore Wind Energy Conference in Klaipeda\nWednesday September 20: Participation in The Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW) seminar in Gdansk (incl. dinner)\nThursday September 21: Participation in The Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW) seminar in Gdansk \nParticipation and costs\nSign up to participate. The final registration date is August 30\, 2023. In principle\, participation is for both locations\, but an individual preference is possible. \nThe costs for participation are:\nPoland: €540 (excl. VAT)\nLithuania: no fees \nParticipation is free for members of the PIB cluster Poland (1 person per company). \nThe following components are included: \n\nparticipation in the seminars in Lithuania and Poland\npromotion of your company in the mission booklet with your own page\ninclusion of your company logo on the mission banners\npossibility to use the conference room for meetings\nindividual matchmaking\nmeetings with Polish and Lithuanian counterparts\non-site support\nlocal transport\nhotel recommendations\nall group dinners\n\nParticipation is exclusive of travel and accommodation costs and all individual costs. \nMore information\nDo you have questions about the mission? Please contact Elro van den Burg (e.vandenburg@pibowepolen.pl | +48 608 490 395). \nCommissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.\nSOURCE: RVO.nl (in Dutch)
