SUMMARY:Offshore Wind Trade Mission Poland
DESCRIPTION:Are you active in the offshore wind energy sector? And do you want to do business with Poland and expand your network? Consider taking part in this trade mission to Poland from June 13 to 15\, 2022! \nThis mission is the perfect opportunity to broaden your network in the region and deepen your knowledge of the Polish market. In addition\, you can explore new business opportunities in Poland.\nNote: this trade mission has a COVID-19 clause. \nOpportunities in Poland\nPoland is still heavily dependent on coal and needs to take immediate action to meet the energy transition ambitions. This means that the production of renewable energy must increase significantly. \nThe development of wind energy in the Baltic Sea is one of the best ways for Poland to achieve this energy transition. Poland aims to develop almost 6GW of offshore wind energy capacity by 2030. By 2040\, that should be about 11GW. According to experts\, the capacity can even further increase to 28GW. \nTenders have been launched for various offshore wind projects. Plans are being made for other projects and collaborations are being set up. This is the momentum for Dutch companies to strenghten their network and present themselves in Poland for participation in these projects.\nPoland is in serious need of foreign knowledge and expertise in the field of offshore wind energy to reach her ambitions. A lot of effort is being put into developing value chains in this sector. Many players want to collaborate with parties from leading countries such as the Netherlands. With previous trade missions and events in Poland\, Polish companies and organizations have shown a clear interest in Dutch knowledge and expertise. \nFor whom?\nParticipation in this mission is open to companies and knowledge institutions in the offshore wind energy with focus on: \n\noffshore installation & transport\nmaintence;\nengineering;\nport infrastructure & logistics;\nEcology;\nTraining & education; and\nother suppliers and service providers.\n\nPreliminary program\nThe program consists of the following components: \n\nparticipation in the PWEA 2022 Conference from June 13-15\, 2022;\nknowledge sessions\, including a presentation of the  market survey for Dutch companies\, which is updated especially for this mission;\nnetworking events;\nindividual matchmaking: tailor-made network conversations; and\nintroduction and round table with influential players and decision makers.\n\nParticipation and costs\nSign up for this trade mission via the b2 Match platform here. Deadline for registration: May 2\, 2022. \nA maximum of 30 companies/organizations can participate in the mission\, with max. 1 person per organization. In case the registration period will be extended\, there is no guarantee you will still be able to participate in the individual matchmaking. \nParticipation costs: €950\,00 per organization. \nThe service package includes: \n\nall components mentioned above under preliminary program;\nlocal support by the organization of the  mission;\nlocal transport.\n\nTravel and accommodation costs are at own expense. \nParticipation in this mission is only open to Dutch companies and knowledge institutions that fit into substantive focus of the trade mission. Registration does not automatically mean you are accepted as participant in the mission.
