From February 28 till March 2, Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) and DUJAM Desk will organise the Holland Pavilion at the Wind Expo Tokyo 2018, the largest wind energy show in Japan. Currently the developments of an offshore wind industry in Japan are progressing steadily with the related challenges. Now after years of testing and planning, Japan is moving towards to built up an offshore wind industry within Japan.

Over the past years, the Netherlands is now recognized in Japan as a knowledgeable wind power nation. Since 2014, the Netherlands has built up a widespread network within the Japanese offshore wind industry with players at all levels; Japanese government (central and local), associations, research institutes, developers, contractors, financial institutes, suppliers, etc. All this resulted that Japan became interested in strategies and policies for offshore wind development in the Netherlands. Therefore, Dutch companies will be in a good position to capitalize on the wind power development in Japan.

The Wind Expo Tokyo 2017 attracted more than 147 exhibitors from all around the world and more than 62,000 unique visitors last year. Over the three exhibition days, the Wind Expo 2018 is expected to be even more successful than the Wind Expo 2017. Please see here for an impression of the Holland Pavilion at Wind Expo 2017.
