The International Partnering Forum (IPF) is the largest offshore wind conference in the Western hemisphere. IPF is where the offshore wind industry comes together to receive breaking news, gain technical knowledge, and engage in networking opportunities with industry colleagues and decision makers. The IPF is organized by the Business Network for Offshore Wind (BNOW), a non profit organization solely focused on the development of the U.S. offshore wind industry and advancement of its supply chain.

With the current state of affairs in offshore wind in the U.S., the project pipeline and the release of the final environmental impact statement for Vineyard Wind, which is a big success for the further developments of Vineyard Wind, the time is right to capitalize on business opportunities in the U.S.

Traveling to the U.S.
If you aren’t based in the U.S., it’s required to apply for a so-called National Interest Exception (NIE), in order for you to travel to the U.S. Without a NIE, you can’t enter the U.S.
For more information and how to apply for this NIE, please check the website of the U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands here.
There’s no guarantee this NIE will be granted to you, that’s of course up to the U.S Embassy in the Netherlands.

Applications can take up to 15-30 working days, so make sure to start your application soon if you are planning to visit the IPF.
In case you need documents from the U.S. to support your application (e.g. invitation letter from BNOW), please let us know what you need and we will take care of that together with our local partners.

President Biden’s administration is working on lifting the COVID-19 restrictions posed on EU citizens, but it’s premature to put a date on any such move, according to the Administration, which means we don’t know if this will happen before the IPF will take place.

IPF Virtual & Together
The IPF 2021 is being held in two parts: virtual and in-person.

– IPF Virtual: April 22, May 13, and June 17;
– IPF Together: August 24-26 in Richmond, Virginia.

By splitting the vast amount of educational content and in-person networking into two segments, the IPF can provide you with the technical and policy information you need and allow for more dedicated time for relationship building at the in-person event.

Since most of the COVID-19 measures are lifted in Virginia, there’s no limit on the amount of visitors at the IPF Together.

NL Netherlands Lounge Package
Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) will organize a NL Netherlands Lounge at the IPF 2021 Together. Participation in the NL Netherlands Lounge includes the following:

– Conference ticket for both IPF Virtual and IPF Together;
– Fully furnished booth (20x20ft | 6x6m) with customized NL Netherlands design at the IPF Together;
– Exposure of company logo, name and/or corporate photos at the IPF Together;
–  Hostess/support on site;
–  Catering;
– TV for PPT (max. 8 slides) or corporate movie (max. 2 min) at the IPF Together;
– Hotel recommendation (if applicable);
– Presentation at the designated area at the IPF Together;
– Your company included at the IPF (online) Directory;
– Designated meeting room for the NL participants at the IPF Together;
– Participation in the WindMatch sessions, virtual posters sessions and access to virtual presentations via download;
– Support with arranging (individual) (online) meetings; and
– Joint promotion.

Participation costs IPF Virtual + Together
PIB members: free of charge (incl. 1 free conference ticket for IPF Virtual and Together), very additional ticket per  person €1.250 (regular price directly via IPF: $2,295 | €1.940 per person for ticket only)
HHWE members: €2.300 (incl. 1 conference tickedt for both IPF Virtual and Together), every additional ticket per  person €1.800 (regular price directly via IPF: $2,295 | €1.940 per person for ticket only)
non HHWE members: €2.700 (incl. 1 conference tickedt for both IPF Virtual and Together), every additional ticket per  person €2.100 (regular price directly via IPF: $2,295 | €1.940 per person for ticket only)

Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses. All prices are without VAT. To cover part of the fee, SME’s can apply for a RVO mission voucher with a maximum worth of 50% of the participants fee. If help is needed to apply for this voucher, please contact Eline Timmer (contact details below). Please note that it’s up to RVO to whether grant the mission voucher or not. HHWE can’t give any guarantees for this.

Participation costs IPF Virtual
Please note that participation costs IPF Virtual will include all services included in the package (as far as these are possible online), such as exposure of your company logo and corporate movie at the physical NL Netherlands booth, but will not include your company in the IPF (online) directory. Your company will be represented by the on site support.

PIB members: free of charge (incl. 1 free conference ticket), every additional ticket per person €400 (regular price  directly via IPF: $595 | €500 for ticket only)
HHWE members: €600 (incl. 1 conference ticket) per person (regular price via IPF: $595 | €500 per person for ticket only)
Non HHWE members: €900 (incl. 1 conference ticket) per person (regular price via IPF: $595 | €500 per person for ticket only)

More information and registration
If you are interested to join the IPF program, please register by using the online registration form below (will become available soon) and select the option on how you want to participate. NB: if the registration form doesn’t work, consider deleting your browsers’ cache and cookies or use another browser.

Deadline for registration: we need to know you final decision for participating in the Netherlands Lounge on Thursday July 22, 2021. Based on the final amounts of participatns, we will make a final decision on the booth size, presentations at designated area and meeting room.
Please note that if your NIE application is denied after this deadline, we can’t reimburse the participation costs to the denied participant, because from that moment on we are bound by obligations towards BNOW, and can no longer cancel tickets and participation.
