More information about the study

In 2022, the Indonesian government entered into a Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) with G7 countries to accelerate the energy transition in Indonesia. These countries have formed an International Partners Group (IPG) and committed $20 billion in grants and loans to support the JETP in Indonesia. A ‘Comprehensive Investment and Policy Plan’ (CIPP) was published in 2023, which contains a plan for implementing the JETP.

Pondera Consult conducted a study on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs into the opportunities for the Netherlands within the JETP in Indonesia. Eight work areas within the CIPP implementation plan best match Dutch expertise, knowledge and instruments. There are opportunities for investors, the private sector and knowledge institutions in these fields.
